Complex Targets
Back Scattering Interferometry (BSI) can be used to interrogate small molecule binding to any type of target, but because it is mass independent and conformation sensitive, it is uniquely suited to studying interactions with large, membrane bound and other complex targets that cannot be effectively characterized using other techniques, for example:
• Ion channels
• Receptor tyrosine kinases
• Transporters
• Transcription factors
• Intra-membrane proteases
• Contractile proteins
• Fibrils
MSI scientists have worked on many complex target problems, developing robust, high-value assays on the BSI technology platform for a variety of clients. The following partial list provides some examples of the pharmaceutical client project targets we have worked on to date.
